Lanvin Ballet Flats

I don't know why, but recently I have fallen in love with the parisian style. When I was in the quest of finding a good pair of ballet flats, I never consider to purchase this shoes as it does not look that parisian in my opinion. I was looking for a ballet flats that have bows on it, something that looks like the Repetto flats.

However, one day, when I was strolling around David Jones, I saw this flats and I decided to try them on. Boy, I have never try any shoes that are more comfortable than this Lanvin up to this date. Since then, I can't keep them out of my mind.

Lanvin leather ballet flats in the colour nude.

I tried to look for other alternatives that are cheaper and just as comfortable as this shoes, but I can't seem to find any. I tried Repetto flats, but they are too thin and might not last as long as I would expect them too given the high price tag. Even though Lanvin flats are more expensive, but their soles are thicker than the Repetto's. The leather is just so soft, even the cobbler where I get the shoes topied said so.

They have padded insoles, which make them more comfortable to walk in. However, I do get blisters when I wore them on the first day. Hopefully they will be more comfortable once I break them in. Oh I do topy the soles first before I started wearing them. I just want to make sure they last as long as they can.

Me donning the shoes for the first time.

If you are looking for a good pair of ballet flats, I definitely recommend this one. I bought them here in case you are wondering. I got them at a half price cheaper than the price retails (there was a free shipping promo at the time I bought them) at David Jones which is AUD 650. I do reckon you go up one size since I find them a bit small than my regular shoes. Since I usually wear EU39, I chose EU40 when I bought them; and they fit perfectly!

NARS Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base

I can never wear an eyeliner without it smudging a couple of hours later. Even the renown Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner smudges on me when I don't wear an eye primer. It might be due to oily eyelids that I have. I was so envious back then because people around me can wear eyeliners without smudging, but not me. So the hunt for a good eye primer begins. I started off with the famous Urban Decay Primer Potion, sadly this eye primer also did not work on my eyes. My eyeliner still smudges even though it was not as bad as if I did not use an eye primer.

One day while I was watching Lisa Eldridge's video, I saw her using the NARS eye primer. So I thought I   should give it a try since Lisa Eldridge uses it!

Excuse the crack lid. I am not sure how it happened since it only lives in my makeup bag.

The swatches

It has a white creamy consistency and becomes clear when blended out.

This definitely does not disappoints me and I can say it as my Holy Grail item. My eyeliner no longer smudges on me even when it is 32 degree celsius outside. If you have the same problem like me and you have try other primers with no success, I would highly recommend this one! I bought this at Mecca Cosmetica which retails for AUD39.

Favourite Fashion Blogs

Fashion blogs definitely help us give some ideas how we should style our outfit  and the colour combinations we should go for whilst keep us updated with the current trend. With the presence of so many fashion bloggers at the moment, Tuula Vintage has definitely become my top favourite fashion blogger. This down under girl has such a sophisticated style and it seems like we just share the same taste when it comes to outfit.

Another favourite blogger of mine, which is from Malaysia is Aimie Habban. Even though she does not blog about fashion and such, yet I just love the way she puts together her outfits and all the pretty pastel colours she usually wears. Everything just looks elegant and soft. With the creativity and great fashion sense that they have, without a doubt they are my wardrobe inspiration.
